I got this as a gift for my 2 year old niece and I couldn't believe how quickly she started picking up the names of the pieces! English is not her first language but within about 5 minutes of first giving her the book, she learned the names and was able to show me the pieces when asked! She normally gets bored quickly but she played with this book for at least an hour and only stopped because it was time for her to eat.
- CarlaMy 14 month old loves this book. I don't think he can understand that much yet but he really loves smacking the button and seeing the lights!!
- PriyankaI tried teaching my kid with a chessboard before, but he got bored and confused, so I figured I’d wait a few years. Then I came across this book and gave it a shot - he loves it! Now we discuss each piece’s moves, and he even tells me where they should go before pressing the button. Great book and great way to intro chess to kids :)
- DanielHey! We're Mayghal, Dhara, and Shantanu - three friends with a shared love for chess and a passion
for making learning fun. When we realized there wasn’t a book that introduced chess to little ones
in a truly engaging way, we knew we had to create one!
After 18 months of designing, prototyping, and testing, Chess Fun for Little Ones was born. With
interactive features, playful rhymes, and charming characters, our book brings chess to life, making
it an exciting, hands-on adventure for kids and parents alike. We can't wait for you to experience
the magic of chess with us!
Dhara - The Designer
With a background in developmental psychology, Dhara’s the creative powerhouse behind the book’s design. She’s all about making learning fun and accessible, blending her love for psychology with a splash of creativity to make sure kids don’t just learn chess - they enjoy it.
Kairo - The Chief Baby Inspector
Kairo is our ultimate product tester who answers the question "Will it break if I bang it really hard?". At just 18 months old, he conducted extensive durability trials (primarily using the "repeated chuck" methodology), verified the optimal smackability of the button (using advanced slap-based testing), and examined each light with wide-eyed fascination resulting in excited wiggles.
Mayghal - The Techie
Mayghal has never encountered a gadget without wondering how it works underneath. When he's not diving into new Arduino projects, he's busy testing our prototypes with his toughest (and tiniest) critic: his son, Kairo. Turns out becoming a dad was the perfect excuse to combine his love for tech with creating something special for little ones!
Shantanu - The Chess Lover
Shantanu grew up with a chessboard in hand and still spends his free time battling it out online (drop us an email to play a game against him!). His aspirations? To one day see his child being crowned as world chess champion. No pressure, kid.
