Beautifully madeWhen I saw this item, I thought it was awesome. My son is curious about chess and he is reading now at 5. This book is beautifully made. Great quality, lights up and is an amazing tool to help him learn. Plus he LOVES that it is interactive. 5 stars for sure! My only suggestion is for the L shape movement for the Knight should be lit up all the way. Otherwise, it is PERFECT. Definitely going to buy more for my nieces and nephews.

Chess Fun is just thatThis book has captivated our 5 year old granddaughter. She was engaged and wants to learn how Chess is played. Grandpa is just as excited to explain the game and teach her how this all works. There is much more to learn than the names of the pieces and how they move on the board but this is a cute starting piont.

Great Find!This is a great little book to help little ones learn chess moves without a screen. It does a great job of simplifying the rules and making it interesting enough to maintain attention. Pawn is missing the rule that allows it to move two spaces at first turn, but it's fine -- best that it is not over complicated.
